Matt and Dom’s Pastry Café is owned and operated by brothers Matthew and Dominic Schole. The café located on Florida’s West Coast barrier Island of Anna Maria in Manatee County. It is just north of Sarasota and sits at the south side of the mouth of Tampa Bay. The keys ( islands) off Sarasota and Manatee are known world wide for their beautiful white sand and blue green tropical waters. Anna Maria is known as the Wedding Capital of Florida & Matt & Dom’s Pastry Café is the place that creates the gourmet Wedding Cakes. Pastry Chef Matt Schole formerly of the Ritz-Carlton creates your exquisitely custom designed gourmet cake with beauty matched by unsurpassed taste. When other’s have said, they could not do it, Matt & Dom did.

We do any occasion cakes but also any kind of dessert catered to your event, picked up as a party tray or served on site in the café. Besides morning pastries, weekend evenings are for after dinner desserts and wine. Located on the corner of a beach access road it is a great location to come in to before or after that stroll along the water. Dominic has grown the reputation of the café as having the areas best coffee, and real fruit smoothies.

Matt is cross trained as a savory cook too so we can hold a rehearsal dinner, shower or small party. Couples have held their ceremony at the beach and small reception afterwards at the café.

The brothers are Manatee / Sarasota born, growing up on the beaches and in the water, boating, snorkeling and Scuba diving when they were not playing soccer from Rec. league to competitive travel teams, middle school to high school and beyond. Their parents who help out often Lisa and Jerry Schole are originally from New Jersey / New York ( Lisa ) and Buffalo area ( Jerry ) but have lived in Manatee and Sarasota since the early 70’s.

Both Matt & Dom attended Manatee Community College completing their last years of earning High School Home Education Program while earning first year’s college credit. Matt decided to earn his culinary arts training at ( MTI ) Manatee Technical Institute, which has repeating achieved national first place rankings, and it was there that the Ritz-Carlton hired him from. Dominic received degrees from Manatee Community College in Graphic Arts and Web Design & Certified Web from MTI. So you get not only a Pastry Chef from a 5 star 5 diamond resort making your cake but an award winning graphic designer that can make your cake detailed in elegance or whimsically dazzling.
